Empowering Growth

The Inner Life team is dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized counseling to individuals seeking support for all aspects of their well-being. Our goal is to empower our clients to navigate life’s challenges, develop coping strategies, and enhance their overall well-being. Our experienced counselors create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. We tailor our counseling approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual.

There are numerous reasons why someone may seek therapy. Common reasons include experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, or other mental health disorders that interfere with daily functioning. Additionally, individuals may seek counseling to address relationship issues, family conflicts, or grief and loss. Therapy can also be beneficial for coping with major life transitions such as divorce, job loss, or relocation. Sometimes, there may not even be a big reason for wanting to start therapy; we know that just existing in the world can be hard enough. Whether facing difficult emotions, relationship struggles, or seeking support, counseling offers a safe space for individuals seeking to improve their mental and emotional well-being.

Our Process

Intake and Matching

We review your completed intake form to understand your goals and areas of focus so we can match you with a therapist.

Set First Appointment

We recommend meeting with your therapist two times before mutually deciding if it is a good fit. We want to ensure you feel like you are matched with someone who you are able to trust and open up to. Your therapist will also want to confirm they have the right skill set for the job; every therapist has different strengths, weaknesses, interests, and competencies, and it is important that your therapist has experience with the areas you are seeking support in.

Set Your Routine and Implementation

Once you confirm fit, you and your therapist will start regular sessions at a time that works for you both. You will discuss your initial reason for reaching out and start to explore the root of it and anything else that comes up, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

At Inner Life, our counselors have a wide variety of backgrounds and expertise, but they largely focus on in-depth talk therapy, with the goal of achieving a higher quality of life. Through talk therapy sessions, you will try to figure out the meaning behind behaviors. What is getting in the way of your functioning? Why do patterns you dislike seem to keep repeating? The goal is to increase self-awareness and explore how the past is impacting the present so that these undesirable patterns don’t keep repeating. All our counselors understand that building trust is the most important factor in a client-therapist relationship.

Finding the right therapist is essential to your counseling experience; our intake coordinator can help you find the right fit.
